Faisal Anwar
Founder, CultureLab.art

Faisal Anwar is a Pakistani-Canadian hybrid artist and creative technologist whose practice bridges art, design, data, and emerging media. Trained in graphic design at the National College of Arts, Lahore, and later at the Canadian Film Centre’s Habitat-LAB Interactive Arts Program, he works between Toronto and Pakistan.
He is the founder of CultureLab.art, a platform that collaborates with scientists and communities to create immersive works addressing climate change, sustainability, and collective memory. Anwar also co-founded ArtAddress and served as chief curator of the 2022 Karachi Biennial.
His interactive projects—such as CharBagh, TweetGarden, and Seeds of Hope—employ real-time data and participatory engagement to explore identity, memory, and shared futures within contemporary digital culture.
